State Rep. Frank Iler inducted into the N.C. Republican Party Hall of Fame from the 7th District

RALEIGH, N.C. – State Representative Frank Iler (R-Brunswick) was inducted into the N.C. Republican Party’s Hall of Fame at a dinner in Raleigh on Saturday, Nov. 21.   One person from each of North Carolina’s Congressional Districts was inducted, with Rep. Iler being the 7th Congressional District’s honoree for 2009.

Nancy Pelosi’s Constitutional Contempt Should Worry Us

Commentary by Walter Williams, from GOPUSA: At Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Oct. 29th press conference, a CNS News reporter asked, “Madam Speaker, where specifically does the Constitution grant Congress the authority to enact an individual health insurance mandate?” Speaker Pelosi responded, “Are you serious? Are you serious?” The reporter said, “Yes, yes, I am.” Not responding further, Ms. Pelosi shook her head and took a question from another reporter. Later on, Ms. Pelosi’s press spokesman Nadeam Elshami told CNSNews.com about its question regarding constitutional authority mandating that individual Americans buy health insurance. “You can put this on the record. Perdue Appoints Campaign Donors to DOT Board

RALEIGH, N.C. – Governor Perdue today appointed four new members and one holdover from the Easley administration to the North Carolina Board of Transportation.  All five men appointed to the board – Sam Halsey, David Burns, Gary Ciccone, Ronnie Wall and Stan White, are campaign donors to Perdue.

Today’s 7th District Meeting: Another Packed House

The N.C. 7th Congressional District Republican Party held its quarterly executive committee meeting today at Dale’s Seafood in Whiteville.  We had yet another great turnout — the room was packed. In addition to those who attended today’s meeting, a number of 7th District Republicans carried the conservative banner at the Taxpayers’ March on Raleigh today.
